The key to preventing recurring health problems, and to developing long-term solutions, lies in increasing patients’ awareness of the causes of problems, and in giving them the tools they need to take responsibility for their own health. We do this by: Identifying the causative factors of your problems, such as problems with workplace ergonomics, and trying to reduce or eliminate them. Teaching you more efficient and less strenuous ways of performing activities in your work or at home. Helping you become aware of postural problems and how to correct them. Providing individually tailored exercise programmes both for flexibility and for core strength. Working in conjunction with other practitioners where appropriate. I believe that better long-term health is the result of a cooperative effort between patient and practitioner.
